Founded in 2020, Bestcharter.com provides private yacht escapes along the French and Italian Riviera. The company specializes in modern, luxurious but laid back charters designed for those who seek upscale comfort and freedom away from the crowds.
Bestcharter.com’s new website needed to appeal to a high-profile audience seeking authentic, private experiences. The design had to position the brand as a modern, trustworthy alternative to traditional yacht charter brokers. The inquiry process itself had to be simple and inviting, avoiding long, intrusive forms that discourage engagement.
I initially led and executed Bestcharter.com’s creative direction across all digital and offline touchpoints for three years. My role combined both design and marketing, collaborating closely with the Sales Team, CEO, yacht crew, and freelancers.
Later, as an independent partner, I redesigned and rebuilt the website from the ground up, emphasizing user experience, clear information architecture, and a boutique brand positioning that captures modern yachting culture.
I aimed to create a modern, intuitive digital journey that guides visitors effortlessly from browsing key information to inquiry.
My competitive research revealed that most yacht charter websites relied on overpolished, inauthentic luxury imagery paired with outdated web design. Issues ranged from failed accessibility and performance, poor information architecture and weak visual hierarchy to a lack of brand alignment. These insights highlighted both what not to do and how underdeveloped design and user experience are in the industry.

To redefine the experience of our existing website, I focused on guiding users seamlessly from browsing to booking. Subtle microinteractions, animations, and a minimalist, lifestyle-focused aesthetic were integrated to create a memorable online experience for high-end travelers seeking relatable, authentic moments.
Using Webflow, I built a design system with reusable components, creating a scalable, SEO-friendly platform that balanced aesthetics with usability. The CMS enabled easy content updates, while custom code allowed for dynamic interactions and a refined, boutique brand feel.
The redesigned website highlights authentic yachting experiences with real people, helping visitors envision themselves on board. Clear CTAs were placed strategically across all pages to make UX and inquiries effortless. I prioritized engaging video and imagery to enhance emotional connection, accepting a minor trade-off in raw performance metrics, which still remained strong and far ahead of competitors.
Implementing SEO fundamentals led to steady growth in organic search traffic compared to the previous site. However, long-term success will depend on continued SEO content strategy, keyword optimization, and backlink building to further increase visibility and reduce reliance on paid campaigns.
